FIELD: apparatuses used in various branches of industry for wet gas purification of disperse solid particles. SUBSTANCE: the shortcoming of the known designs are a high hydraulic resistance, small fixed surface of phase contact, large unconfined space of the apparatus, in which sprayed liquid moves in the form of big drops, requirement in continuous feed of considerable quantities of liquid. The device has a casing, gas inlet and outlet connections, bath for wetting agent, hollow perforated shaft with a gauze contact device fastened to it and made of gauze tubes. All tubes are tightly engaged with one another. The gas inlet and outlet tubes are arranged opposite each other so as to provide gas feed to part of tubes only. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of gas cleaning of fine- dispersed particles and reduced channel for gas flow, reduced hydraulic resistance and reduced flow rate of liquid. 2 dwg
