DEVICE CLEANING INTERNAL SURFACES OF PIPES Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: technical means for cleaning of internal surfaces of pipe-lines from deposits. SUBSTANCE: device cleaning internal surfaces of pipes has body with working tool in the form of set of springy metal plates. Ends of springy metal plates interacting with internal surfaces of cleaned pipe 4 during operation are so bent that form angle of 65-85 deg with longitudinal axis of body. Opposite ends of springy metal plates are made fast to body that has cylindrical shape. Device is fitted with hollow cylindrical housing with windows through which springy metal plates pass. Housing is mounted on body for axial movement with respect to body. Device also has bearing disc 7 rigidly coupled to housing 5 and having central threaded hole. Screw with eye is brought through mentioned hole. Relation of diameters of housing and body and relative dimensions of housing windows are chosen such that collapsing of springy metal plates through housing windows in space between body and housing is proved with backward movement of housing relative to body. EFFECT: provision for easy extraction of device out of pipe with backward movement if its forward motion is impossible. 1 dwg
