METHOD FOR REMOVING CONTAMINATIONS FROM INNER SURFACE OF TUBE AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE SAME Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2214874 C1

FIELD: processes and devices for cleaning, namely hollow articles, possibly in gas-oil industry branch for cleaning pump- compressor tubes, sewage pipes and so on. SUBSTANCE: group of invention provides enhanced efficiency of cleaning tubes even if they are clogged until complete closure of flow-through cross section. Method comprises steps of supplying working agent into system for cleaning tube and with use of said system increasing cross section of working agent and forming cleaning flow directed to side opposite relative to direction of working agent feed and thereby moving tube-cleaning system along tube; creating cleaning flow by means of nozzles having cylindrical opening whose length is no less than its three diameters in the form of radial jets directed along line tangent to imaginary surface of cylinder placed in zone of maximum increase of cross section area of working agent flow by angle 45 - 85 degrees relative to its generatrix through contamination in such a way that to transform said jet when it achieves tube surface to planar flow between tube and contamination having motion components directed along and across tube. Tube-cleaning system for performing the method includes head having inner duct for supplying working agent and widened zone communicated with nozzles directed towards hose and with inner duct; head may be connected with hose. Each nozzle is in the form of cylindrical opening whose length is no less than its three diameters; its lengthwise axis is inclined by angle 45 - 85 degrees relative to generatrix of imaginary surface of cylinder (in touching point) placed in zone of maximum increase of inner duct. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of method. 11 cl, 13 dwg
