FIELD: techniques and devices using effect of gas cooling during its expansion for liquefying it. SUBSTANCE: latent heat of condensation produced in the course of liquefaction in the form of electromagnetic radiation is evacuated from condenser by means of special devices. Liquefier has heat-transfer apparatus, expansion device, and condenser accommodating gas condensation zone. Rays appearing during gas condensation are emitted through transparent walls of condenser. Rays can be absorbed by absorption region surface of radiation detector cooled down by medium which is colder than liquefied gas. Radiation emitting device may have one or more reflecting mirrors and radiation detector. Mentioned device may be also made in the form of flowing-gas laser. EFFECT: improved efficiency of gas liquefaction. 6 cl, 6 dwg
