FIELD: technology of remote probing of the Earth from space, satellite complexes of meteorological and natural resources assignment. SUBSTANCE: proposed system for operational radar probing of surface of the Earth has antenna, reception/transmission switch, sparking gap of protection of receiver, first directional coupler, low-noise amplifier, compensation channel incorporating attenuator and phase inverter connected in series and ensuring transmission of signal which compensates for leakage of radiated signal to input of reception path. Controlled attenuator is brought into calibration channel for selection of calibration signal for type of probed surface. System is inserted with former of signals controlling amplification in reception path by type of probed surface, code generator, phase manipulator and unit of signal compression in range which provide for usage of intricate phase-modulated signal with corresponding drop of pulse power of transmitter and simplification of design of antenna-feeder path. EFFECT: decreased consumed power, provision for compactness, diminished mass of structure and enhanced precision of probing of surface of the Earth in the course of long time. 1 dwg
