FIELD: nuclear technologies; recovery of decommissioned long parts of nuclear reactors. SUBSTANCE: method involves cross cutting of stack of decommissioned long parts to desired size. Long parts are placed in container made from central part of decommissioned reactor channel and then both are cut together. This makes it possible to empty large area of radioactive waste storage and to reduce amount of radioactive dust formed in the process. EFFECT: simplified process of waste recovery and reduced time required for procedure. 3 cl, 6 dwg
