FIELD: plastic metal working with use of energy of electric blast of metal conductor in liquid transmitting medium. SUBSTANCE: located in hollow of pipe installed in holes of tubular grid is blasting member in the form of flat ring from foil and rod insert. The latter rests on centering insulating sprockets. Foil ring is located on end face of mechanically strong cylinder made of dielectric with through coaxial hole. Located on rod insert is body of revolution and guide cone, both made of mechanically strong material. Pipe hollow is hydraulically sealed with flexible plugs and filled with transmitting medium. Blasting member is connected with source of pulse currents by means of two electrodes. One rod-shaped electrode is secured at the end of pipe and located in the cylinder through hole. The second electrode is used in the form of embracing metal bushing located in cylinder. Electric blast of blasting member effected in hole of tubular grid deforms pipe. As a result, pressing-in of pipes of various configuration is possible in any hard-to-reach place. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
