FIELD: oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: according to method, measured is output of gas-liquid mixture with subsequent separation of liquid and gas. After separation, measured is output of liquid, and output of gas is determined as difference between gas-liquid mixture output and liquid output. In other version, one part of product is directed to chamber of measuring gas-liquid mixture output of reversible meter, and other part of product is directed to separation. After that, separated liquid is directed to chamber of measuring liquid output of same meter. In this case output of gas is determined by method described above. Application of aforesaid method allows for improving reliability of measuring information together with reducing cost of operations for measuring output of oil wells which is represented by gas-liquid mixture.
