FIELD: operation of oil field pipe lines; protection of inner surfaces of pipe lines used for transportation of corrosive active formation fluid. SUBSTANCE: at least 10 percent of total volume of fluid to be transported via protected pipe line is passed through magnetic activator; at outlet of magnetic activator, magnetized fluid is mixed with remaining fluid. Intensity of magnetic field in working clearance of magnetic activator is chosen from 400 to 600 kA/m at number of polarity reversals ranging from 3 to 5. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of corrosion protection due to reduced rate of corrosion and reduction of deposits. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 3 tbl
