FIELD: nuclear power engineering; supplying urban utilities, primarily those of large cities, with heating and domestic hot water. SUBSTANCE: hot water is produced in underground heating- system heat exchangers of group of nuclear power modules. Then hot water is stored in man-made underground geothermal strata located above nuclear power module level. Hot water is supplied, as required, over pipelines provided with shut-off devices to surface urban heat- supply lines. Urban heat-supply system has at least two underground nuclear heat-generating modules wherein hot water is produced. Heating-system heat exchangers of modules are connected to man- made geothermal hot-water storage strata made in the form of separate storage manifolds. The latter communicate through pipelines incorporating shut-off devices with each other, with nuclear power modules, and with surface urban heat-supply lines.
