FIELD: internal combustion engines, pumps and compressors. SUBSTANCE: machine has at least two cylinders, pistons with rods forming the cylinder-and-piston group, two parallel crankshafts located in perpendicular plane symmetrically to cylinder axis and interconnected for rotation in opposite directions by means of mechanism having ratio equal to 1, cross-member connected with piston rods and two connecting rods provided with journals. one end of each connecting rod is articulated with respective crankshaft and other end is articulated with cross-member which is mounted horizontally. Cross-member is made in form of plate whose both ends are provided with slots for receiving the connecting rods and holes for receiving the pins which are used for coupling the connecting rods with cross-member; axes of pins are shifted inside relative to axes of connecting rods. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of mechanism converting rotary motion of crankshafts into reciprocating motion of pistons; enhanced economical efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
