Using immunofluorescence reaction in blood serum of young girls, level of globulin binding sex hormones is measured and androgen activity index (AAI) is determined from formula AAI= where X=T/GL, T testosterone level, GL level of globulin binding sex hormones, n=3 is number of assessments. When AAI is more than 0.72, severe form of ovarian sclerocystitis syndrome is diagnosed; when between 0.38 and 0.72, mean, and when between 0.23 and 0.38, mild forms are diagnosed. Androgen activity index between 0.14 and 0.23 is indicative of risk of development of ovarian sclerocystitis syndrome, and that below 0.14 of lack of pathology.
