FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology, agriculture. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing strains of bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens NCIMB 40490, NCIMB 40495, NCIMB 40497, Serratia liquefaciens NCIMB 40492, Serratia plymuthica NCIMB 40493. Also, invention relates to preparing strains of bacterium Bacillus pumilis NCIMB 40489 and Bacillus subtilis NCIMB 40491 used for the above indicated aim and for production of an antibiotic inhibiting a pathogen of the above indicated sicknesses. On the basis of the above indicated strains an aqueous suspension of microorganism is obtained that contains strains at concentration 104-109 CFU/ml, preferably at concentration 105-108 CFU/ml. Method of prophylaxis a fungal sickness in vegetables and/or fruits after harvest involves immersion of vegetables and/or fruits in an aqueous suspension containing one of the indicated strain of bacterium. On the basis of strains of bacterium Bacillus 40489 and 40491 an antibiotic (value Rf is about 0.39, or 0.56, or 0.61) is obtained that shows activity against Botrytis cinerea and Alternaria at pH 3.0-9.0. Antibiotic is obtained by culturing a strain of bacterium on medium containing cabbage leaves and water at ratio 5-100 g/1 l water. Antibiotic is isolated from filtrate of cultural fluid using columns with silica gel or plates and eluent consisting of butane-1-ol : acetic acid : water at ratio 3:1:1. Antibiotic and proposed strains ensure to safe fruit and vegetable harvest during storage by decay prevention. EFFECT: strains indicated above, enhanced effectiveness of an antibiotic. 16 cl, 12 tbl, 11 ex, 18 dwg
