FIELD: textile engineering. SUBSTANCE: leveling mechanism has fingers projecting outside frame and mounted for movement about endless guide in housing. Frame makes part of housing or is positioned adjacent to housing. Drive mechanism has transmission mechanisms with pulleys mounted within housing and arranged in succession along guide. Adjacent transmission mechanisms with pulleys are overlapped one relative to the other. Each transmission mechanism has endless belt with finger driving plates, each engageable with drive surfaces attached to fingers and extending within housing. Leveling mechanism is further provided with drives for driving transmission mechanisms with pulleys at gradually increasing speeds so that fingers are driven for movement along frame length at increasing speed. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 15 cl, 8 dwg
