FIELD: mechanical engineering; packing. SUBSTANCE: laminated packing material (laminate) has rigid but foldable layer of paper or cardboard with external film or coating of water resistant polysaccharide compound at least on one side. Film or coating renders sealing properties to material making it liquid and steam resistant and hot sealing properties. Preferably at other side of core layer external film or coating of above-indicated polysaccharide compound is found. This compound includes first water-soluble polysaccharide of polyanion character and second water soluble polysaccharide of polycation character. Polysaccharides are combined chemically or by other method to form water resistant polysaccharide compound. One such compound can consist preferably of chemical compound or chemical complex of chitosan and agar-agar. EFFECT: enhanced quality of packing material. 6 cl, 3 dwg
