FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: fuel element of reactor using lengthwise extended fuel-element shell 2 has locking body 12 which, when engaged in one position attained due to turn of fuel-element can 6 about longitudinal axis, enters slot 16 on inner side of shell 2, in its cross-sectional area, and which is protected against spinning in this engaged position due to locking element 18. The latter is, essentially, locking body mounted on locking body 12 for displacement of shell 2 in radial direction provided with respectively attached locking drilling 20 on wall of shell 2. Locking body may optionally have locking notch 20 on final edge of shell 2. Locking body may be also made with respective locking slot 21 on inner side of shell 2.
