SUBSTANCE: controller for synchronous/asynchronous communication by means of directed infrared radiation functions to maintain interaction between protocols at up to 2.34 Mbit/s speed at the same time supporting standard of infrared data access standardizing committee as well as two-phase, amplitude-keyed NRZI (nonreturn-to-zero inverted) format. In addition, description is given of method for automatic detection of type of infrared signal received.
