FEED WATER DISPENSING HEADER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: straight-through boilers of thermal power stations and thermoelectric plants. SUBSTANCE: header has housing made in form of tubular member blanked off at ends by means of heads. Connected to one of heads is feed water delivery branch pipe. Tubular member has several holes where inner part of pipe unions is mounted. Each pipe union is provided with throttling elements brought out of pipe union and located in bag having vessel divided by transversal partitions forming pockets whose number corresponds to number of pipe unions in row. Bottom of each pocket has hole; shut-off member of regulating throttle element is secured to upper portion of partition. Throttling element is made from flexible strip prestressed for bending. Flexible strip is pressed to seat. profile of seat arcs corresponds to profile of strip in prestressed state. EFFECT: reduced consumption of feed water in firing-up steam generator and reduced power requirements for transfer of feed water. 3 cl, 8 dwg
