FIELD: medical devices, in particular, surgery, instruments for non-destructive flaw detection. SUBSTANCE: method involves driving detector, which is equipped with sensitive elements which are positioned in orthogonal to longitudinal axis of detector and may be directed to arbitrary given region of tissues and organs of human body. Then method involves reading and recording of sine-shaped signal and its analysis by comparison of its shape and amplitude, which provide data about position of foreign ferromagnetic object with respect to working end of detector. In particular, such data involve: if record has two maximal signals of symmetrical shape and equal level but opposite in polarity, one end of foreign ferromagnetic object is positioned towards working end of detector and in parallel to cores of sensitive elements. If record has three maximal signals, two of which are located around middle one, are symmetrical in shape, equal in level and polarity, while middle signal is maximal by amplitude and opposite in polarity, then ends of ferromagnetic object are positioned in perpendicular to working end of detector and core of sensitive elements. If record has three maximal signals, two of which have equal amplitudes and opposite polarities, while signal in extreme position has minimal level but same polarity as another signal in extreme position, then ends of foreign ferromagnetic object are located at acute angle with respect to working end of detector and cores of sensitive elements. EFFECT: simplified detection, increased efficiency, decreased traumatic effects upon treatment. 1 dwg
