FIELD: general surgery, applicable for localization of foreign ferromagnetic bodies at surgical extraction of them from human tissues and organs, it can also be used in measuring equipment for nondestructive material quality testing. SUBSTANCE: the device is made as a ferroprobe sensor comprising a non-metallic handle and a metal non-magnetic protective casing. Sensitive half cells in the form of coils with permalloy cores and additional sensitive half cells are installed in the casing on a non-magnetic panel, coaxially along the sensor longitudinal axis and in mutually orthogonal planes passing through the sensor longitudinal axis, orthogonally to it. The coil windings are interconnected gradiometrically and connected to the instrument electric measuring unit. The half cells are furnished with light indication. The wall of the protective casing has holes, whose centers coincide with the magnetic axes of the additional half cells, which are installed with a clearance from the wall of the protective casing to one of its ends. EFFECT: production of an unambiguous signal at localization of a foreign ferromagnetic body. 1 dwg
