FIELD: fun-fair machines. SUBSTANCE: wonder wheel has pyramidal truss support, wheel with main radial flat trusses uniformly spaced over circumference. Inner ends of trusses are secured in drum mounted on support. Additional shortened radial trusses are installed on wheel periphery between main trusses. Cross ties form concentric load-bearing rings. Symmetrical V-shaped ties are arranged between intermediate load-bearing rings whose apices are connected with inner ends of additional radial trusses and ends, with places of connection of main radial trusses and cross ties of smaller diameter load-bearing ring. passenger cars are suspended from peripheral ends of radial trusses. Wheel has drive in form of fitted-on cylindrical pins brought into meshing with driving gear wheel. Radial truss peripheral members in longitudinal section of wheel have shape of trapezium whose smaller base is pointed to wheel axis and base members have shape of trapezium whose smaller base is pointed to wheel periphery. Method of installation of wheel comes to successive interconnection of radial trusses and ties and connection of trusses and ties with drum installed on support. Members are connected into rings with successively increasing diameter by turning the wheel using its drive. peripheral rings are formed by mounting segments in peripheral direction with uniform spacing over wheel circumference. owing to use of trapezium-shaped end members of trusses strength and rigidity of wheel in cross direction are increased, and metal usage of entire structure is decreased. EFFECT: reduced cost of installation of wonder wheel owing to dispensing with additional special mounting devices and reduced time taken for erection. 3 cl, 16 dwg
