FIELD: paint production industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to devices intended for production of inorganic pigments and can be used in production of dry zinc white. Device has following components which are successively located and interconnected: melting zone, evaporation zone, and oxidizing zone, gas ducts for flowing of zinc vapor and zinc oxide and for removing exhaust gases. Evaporation zone is made in the form of chamber located separately from melting and oxidizing zones. Located inside this chamber and along it in horizontal plane is profiled partition which divides internal space of chamber into two parts not communicating with each other. At least one horizontal section of profiled partition in lower part of evaporation chamber is located with clearance above metal level. Other section in same part of chamber creates at least one horizontally located passage. Used in function of gas duct for discharge of exhaust gases is upper part of evaporation chamber. Used for flowing and overheating of zinc vapor is at least one passage in lower part of chamber. Evaporation chamber is additionally provided with gas burning chamber which communicates with upper part of evaporation chamber. Evaporation chamber communicates with melting zone by means of passage. Bottom of this passage is made at common level with bottom of evaporation chamber. Aforesaid embodiment of device is simple in design, convenient in operation, reliable, safe, economical in power consumption, and ensuring sufficient productive capacity and high quality of ready product.
