METHOD FOR MAKING PARQUETRY COVERING Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this can be used for arranging artistic parquetry covering on concrete base or on base made with concrete-like levelling coarse. According to method, realization of parquetry covering includes formation of load-bearing decking base made of panel-like wood-based components, then hardening gluing layer is applied to them and finally selected parquetry staves according to required pattern are placed on gluing layer. Panel-like components of decking base are installed directly on concrete or concrete-like surface of floor slabs, and clearance is kept between their end edges. Panel-like decking is arranged over entire surface of floor, and parquetry staves are assembled on gluing layer over fully placed base so as clearances between panel-like components of decking base are overlapped. Application of aforesaid method improves stability of parquetry covering and its resistance to deterioration at sharp changes of air moisture content and temperatures, also simplifies formation of parquetry pattern.
