METHOD TO PRODUCE END FACE BOARD PANEL ELEMENTS FROM WOOD Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC B27M3/04 

FIELD: woodworking industry.

SUBSTANCE: method to produce end face board panel elements from wood involves roundup of round timber, cutting of longitudinal grooves, gluing of workpieces into a block, cross cutting. The longitudinal groove cutting is carried out in two opposite planes with the same radius r which was used for the round timber roundup. The groove width amounts to $$R\sqrt{2}.$$ The end face board panel elements are produced from the glued blocks by their cross cutting. The longitudinal groove cutting is carried out in three planes set at an angle of 120° to each other with the same radius r which was used for the round timber roundup, and the groove width is equal to the radius r. The end face board panel elements are produced from the glued blocks by their cutting at the angle to the fibres different from 90°. The glued workpieces are cut into thinner end face board panel elements with further gluing of them onto the base from particle boards, plywood or other board materials. The obtained end face board panel elements are cut by the perimeter to produce board panels of a rectangular or parallelogram shape. The obtained board panel elements are impregnated with special fine compositions and are heat treated.

EFFECT: improved quality of produced sawn goods, reduced wood waste, decreased labour inputs.
