AIR-OPERATED HAMMER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for mining industry and construction. SUBSTANCE: this hammer is intended for crushing rock matter and concrete. Air-operated hammer has following components: body with exhaust openings, striker, handle. Installed between housing-muffler and body is intermediate housing with radial exhaust passages. Intermediate housing at side of hood is provided with circular shoulder with inclined through-slots. Aforesaid slots in circular shoulders of housing-muffler and intermediate housing are made with different angle of incline and they are opposite in direction, and this enhances efficiency in suppressing noise produced by exhaust air at its discharge from air-operated hammer.
