FIELD: agriculture, veterinary science, virology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a specific prophylaxis of an avian infectious bursitis. Vaccine has an effective amount of viral material from the strain "Vinterfield" "84-DEP" and a stabilizing agent taken at ratio, wt.-% 85-95/5-15. Strain is deposited in Collection of microorganisms VGNKI at number "Vinterfield" "84-DEP". Strain "Vinterfield" "84-DEP" is reproduced in both FEC-cell culture and 10-days old SPF-chicken embryos at biological titer activity 6.50-8.00 lg TCD₅₀/ml and 5.00-6.00 lg EID₅₀/0.2 ml, respectively. Fat-free milk, lactose, gelatose, sucrose and other substances are used as a stabilizing agent. Obtained vaccine is a homogeneous dried mass in the form of water-soluble cylindric tablet. Chickens are vaccinated beginning from 7-10-day age (depending on mother antibody level in chicken blood serum), twice at interval for 10 days at the dose 1000-2000 EID₅₀ or 10000-20000 TCD₅₀ by watering method.
