INACTIVATED VACCINE AGAINST AVIAN INFECTION BURSITIS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture, veterinary science, virology. SUBSTANCE: vaccine has an antigenic material obtained from the strain "BG", ethyleneimine dimer as an inactivating agent, aluminium hydroxide and saponine as adjuvants taken at effective doses. Strain "BG" is deposited in VGNKI collection at number "BG" "102 DEP". Strain "BG" is reproduced in 10-days old SPF-chicken embryos at titer 5.25-6.0 lg EID₅₀/0.2 ml. Vaccine is a liquid of pink-brown color, it has a friable sorbent deposit that forms a homogeneous suspension at shaking. Vaccine is administrated to clinically health poultry at the age 110-120 day as a single dose. Preparation is administrated at the dose 0.5 cm³ by intramuscular injection. Vaccine indices high level of antibodies against bursitis in "parent" flock and provides safety passive mother immunity in young stock animals up to 15-25-days age that ensures to protect animals from field virulent bursitis virus in early stage of life.
