FIELD: manufacture of can bodies. SUBSTANCE: machine for transforming metallic cups to elongated bodies of cans includes ram performing reciprocation horizontal motion together with cup through annular die unit. Compressed air supplied through rotary valve is used for removing ready can body from ram. Valve includes continuously rotating rotor mechanically joined with ram drive in such a way that complete motion cycle of ram drive corresponds to each one revolution of rotor. The last includes two discs abutting one to another. Each disc has arc-like hole. Drive shaft of rotor passes through center of rotor. Mutual angular position of discs may be changed for controlling rotation angle at each revolution of rotor corresponding to compressed air supply for removing can bodies due to change of overlapping of arc-like holes.
