FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has mandrel units mounted on holder continuously rotating on main shaft. Each unit has base and cantilevered mandrel mounted on base for rotation around axis of rotation extending in parallel with main axis of rotation. At each cycle of circular rotation of holder, apparatus for applying printing grips cylindrical product on mandrel and applies printing onto it. Grip between cylindrical products and print applying apparatus creates counteraction having tendency toward inclining free end of mandrel in radial inward direction. Rigidity imparting mechanism is adapted for resisting mandrel inclination. According to one version, such mechanism has conveyor segments and roller mounted on base and movable on conveyor segment. Conveyor segments are rigidly positioned on holder in common plane, at right angles to main axis of rotation. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased efficiency. 194 cl, 7 dwg
