FIELD: transportation equipment, particularly continuously moving devices for painting cylindrical containers.
SUBSTANCE: device for transporting containers, particularly cans through drying oven, includes the first and the second transfer conveyers rotating around the first and the second axes and located substantially parallel to each other, arbor carrying means rotating about the third axis and continuously moving belt conveyer having the first branch. The first conveyer is located in front of the second one and before carrying means in axial direction. The first branch extends in axial direction in front of the second conveyer. Device comprises a number of arbors arranged on carrying means and offset in axial direction, a number of supporting units carrying containers disposed on the first conveyer and extending in axial direction to move along annular path around the first axis. The second conveyer has surface for pulling containers from the first conveyer to the second one by the first attractive force application for container gripping and holding. Parts of carrying means and the first conveyer are located one opposite another in the first translation area in which supporting units receive containers moved by arbors. Parts of the first and the second conveyers are located one opposite another in the second translation area in which conveyers from supporting units are received by surface. Parts of the first branch and the second conveyer are opposite to each other in loading area where containers from the second conveyer enter on the first branch of belt conveyer. The first belt may apply attractive force to containers received from the second conveyer on the first branch. Loading area is located along feeding path after the second translation area along the second conveyer rotation path. Holding area extends between the second translation area and loading area. The second conveyer surface includes the first and the second coaxial annular grooves with their centers coinciding with the second axis. Paths and grooves are located so that each supporting unit arranged in the second translation area may move along the path, which crosses outer groove and then inner groove. Inner and outer grooves are opposite to the first branch in loading area. When the first of supporting units following one after next nearest unit intersect outer groove containers are released from above supporting units and enter outer groove of the second conveyer. When the second of supporting units following one after next nearest unit intersect inner groove containers release from above supporting units and enter inner groove of the second conveyer. The second invention embodiment is also disclosed.
