SUBSTANCE: invention describes 1H-indole-3-acetic acid of formula I: wherein X- is O; R₁ is C₄-C₂₀ alkyl, Y wherein is 1-8; R₇₄ is independently H, C₁-C₁₀ alkyl; R₇₅ is aryl optionally substituted by halogen, OH, NO₂, phenyl, C₁-C₁₀ alkylthio, C₁-C₁₀ alkoxy, C₁-C₁₀ alkyl, NH₂; R₂ is halogen, C₁-C₃ alkyl, C₁-C₂ alkylthio, C₁-C₂ alkoxy; R₃ is independently H, C₁-C₃ alkyl; R₄,R₅,R₆,R₇ are independently H, C₁-C₁₀ alkyl, C₁-C₁₀ alkoxy, C₄-C₈ cycloalkoxy, halogen, OH, COOH, hydrazino, hydrazido, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Salts are useful for preparing pharmaceutical composition which inhibits secretory SPLA₂ phospholipase in effective amount.
