FIELD: agglomeration of finely dispersed powder-like materials; ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy; chemical industry, construction and other industries. SUBSTANCE: roasting machine includes hearth with overflow collector and downtake branch pipes, rotating trollies, technological blast and vacuum chambers, technological fans, smoke exhausters and gas ducts. Hearth has longitudinal walls and transversal baffles dividing it into two drying zones (by blowing and by suction), preheating, roasting and cooling zones. Downtake branch pipes of hearth have rectangular cross section. Areas of their outlet cross sections and relationship of height and length at area of adjoining the direct overflow collector are varying in magnitude increasing from the beginning of suction drying zone to end of preheating zone; area of cross section of these branch pipes increases from 0.08-0.10 to 0.12-0.15 of area of longitudinal walls of the respective technological chambers at pitch equal to 0.004-0.014 of the area of longitudinal walls of technological chamber; relationship of height and length of downtake branch pipes increases from 0.37-0.39 to 0.53-0.55 at pitch of 0.028-0.036 per technological chamber. Machine is provided with two cooling zones (blow cooling zone and suction cooling zone) located in succession in way of motion of machine. Suction of fan feeding the heat-transfer agent to the second blow cooling zone is connected with exhaust of the exhauster drawing off the heat-transfer agent from the suction cooling zone. EFFECT: reduced consumption of fuel required for heat treatment of agglomerated material; improved quality of material due to reduced rupture. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
