FIELD: cellular communication systems. SUBSTANCE: device used for improving quality of communication channels has portable communication sets using broad-band radio signals at multiple access with coded channel multiplexing to facilitate radio exchange of information signals among system subscribers through at least one cellular station. Power of cellular station communicating with portable communication set coupled with particular user of system which is transmitted by portable communication set is measured as power received by cellular station. Command signal generated in cellular station is conveyed to portable set for controlling its transmitter power. Command signals are also accumulated for generating signals indicating quality of communication channel in response to these signals. In preferable option of invention, signal indicating quality of communication channel is, essentially, audio interference signal making system user change position of portable communication set to improve signal quality in return communication channel.
