FIELD: water transport; designing of roller units used for mooring at sea. SUBSTANCE: roller unit includes roller proper and rigid guide device running from it in way of mooring and provided with gripping appliance for passing the mooring line around roller and through guide device. Guide device is provided with hinged support formed by hinge of roller. Gripping appliance is closed during mooring operations. Rigid guide device is made in form of tubular housing connected with hinge of roller. Roller is mounted for rotation on the outside of tubular housing near its hinge. According to one version, gripping appliance is made in form of chain stopper set in motion. Chain stopper is just length of mooring line. EFFECT: improved operational properties. 3 cl, 2 dwg
