FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves evaluating state of central component responsible for respiration regulation and ventilation-perfusion relations in lungs during the first 2 h of life. State of central component responsible for respiration regulation is evaluated from capnographic curve shape. Capnographic curve showing lack of alveolar plateau in more than 60% of the curve, development of respiratory disorders of central component responsible for respiration regulation is to be predicted. The value being equal to 60-80%, light degree of the central component respiratory disorders development state is to be predicted. The value being equal to 81-90%, moderate level of the central component respiratory disorders development state is to be predicted. The value being greater than 90%, severe degree of the central component respiratory disorders development state is to be predicted. Ventilation-perfusion relations state is easily evaluated from carbon dioxide concentration level in the end portion of exhaled air. The value being less than 3.2% by volume in the cases of full-term babies and less than 3.0% in the cases of premature babies, combined disorder of ventilation and perfusion relations in lung is to be predicted. The value being equal to 3.3-4.0 % by volume in cases of mature newborns and 3.1-3.6 % by volume in cases of premature newborns, development of lung ventilation-perfusion relations perfusion component disorder is to be predicted. The value being equal to 4.1-4.8 % by volume in cases of mature newborns and 3.7-4.4 % by volume in cases of premature newborns, normal state of ventilation-perfusion relations in lungs is to be predicted. The value being greater than 4.8% by volume in cases of mature newborns and greater than 4.4% in cases of premature newborns, development of lung ventilation-perfusion relations ventilation component disorder is to be predicted. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of diagnosis.
