FIELD: transport engineering; prevention of unauthorized used of vehicles. SUBSTANCE: time required for introduction of coded sequence set up by vehicle switches is divided into even of time length, and coded sequence is formed by signals from switches transmitted in each odd time length. At no signals from switches at odd time length, substitution signal is generated and introduced into formed sequence. By results of comparison of formed sequence with that kept in system storage, either signal enabling use of vehicle engine, or alarm signal is formed. Alarm signal can be formed also at expiration of even time length during which signal from any switch of vehicle is received or expiration of odd time length during which there are no signals from switches. EFFECT: increase secrecy of access to system controls owing to increased time of setting up of required code combination. 4 cl, 1 dwg
