FIELD: pulse power sources for thermonuclear, laser and other types of equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has rotor 1, stator 2, which slots contain coils 4 and 5 which are joined by bands to provide salient poles 6. Coils 4 and 5 are made in layers from current-conducting material which is insulated between turns and layers. Turns of coils 4 and 5 of rotor 1 and stator 2 are made from rhombic-section conductor and are located in layer in which space between centers of conductor terms is greater than greater diagonal of rhomb. Turns in each layer are shifted with respect to turns of adjacent layer by half step. First layer of coils 4 and 5 between wall of slot 3 and turns and last layer between turns and external bands contain insertions which shape follows shape of space between turns and which are behind turns by size of insulating layer. Insulating layer is made from fibers which are arranged in curve-shaped space between layers. EFFECT: increased specific output pulse power. 2 cl, 3 dwg
