FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: the claimed method consists in that at the beginning of operation, mechanical removal of epithelial layer 4-9 mm in beginning of operation, mechanical removal of epithelial layer 4-9 mm in diameter is effected in zone of ablation with use of blade-scarificator. In so doing, three rates of time of possible epithelization are stated. Should the number of movements of blade-scarificator be above 16, the rate of epithelization is stated which is effect in 1.5-3 days; should the number of movements of blade-scarificator be within 6-15, the second rate of epithelization is stated which is effected in 4-5 days; should the number of movement of blade-scarificator be within 2-5, the third rate of epithelization is stated which is effected in term exceeding 5 days. With terms of epithelization of 5 days and more after operation of photorefraction keratectomy, possible complications are prognosticated. EFFECT: higher efficiency of prognostication.
