FIELD: medicine; automation of clinical methods of examination. SUBSTANCE: device has body, vertically positioned tube in which blood sample to be examined is placed, facility for keeping the tube in body, sensory head which includes optical radiation source and receiver positioned from different sides of tube on one optical axis in horizontal direction. Device also includes mask with slit installed between optical radiation receiver and tube, processor, output device, input of which is connected to processor output. Optical radiation source forms optical beam distributed in vertical plane and overlapping the tube containing the examined blood sample in height. Mask with slit is positioned vertically. Collecting optical system is arranged between mask with slit and optical radiation receiver. Optical radiation receiver is made as scanner line consisting of instruments with charge coupling and installed vertically. Outputs of line of instruments with charge coupling are connected to processor input. In this case, head is fixed.
