FIELD: plastic metal working, namely construction of rolling stands for making shaped articles such as balls. SUBSTANCE: rolling stand includes two rolling rolls, each roll rests upon two chocks mounted in cassette arranged in housing; mechanisms for moving rolls; guides with apparatuses for adjusting their position. Stand is provided with frame for mounting in it housing with possibility of rotation in vertical plane by angle equal to 90 degrees around axis normal relative to rolling axis. Traverse bars are mounted into each cassette for rigidly joining chocks in cassette. Mechanisms for rotating traverse bars are arranged on each cassette and include rotation axle of traverse bar secured to cassette, stopper for fixing position of traverse bar in cassette. Screw type rotation mechanism includes pressure nut mounted in cassette and hollow pressure screw placed in nut and having tie rod arranged in said screw and secured by its one end to traverse bar and by its other end - to end surface of screw. Housing is in the form of closed box type framework consisting of two plate provided with windows for cassettes. Plates are mutually joined by means of cross pieces having turnings for embedding mechanisms for mounting rolls and guides. EFFECT: enhanced rigidity of stand providing high quality of rolled stock, reduced time period for roll changing and number of roll change operations. 3 dwg
