FIELD: processes and equipment for descaling blooms, thin slabs, billets and so on with use of water in zone of ingot mold, induction furnace or rolling mill stands. SUBSTANCE: blooms and slabs are fed by means of descaling apparatus at speed 15-20 m/mim (0.025-0.33)m/s, preferably 4-10m/min(0.066-0.166)m/s). Apparatus includes at least one movable bracket carrying nozzles for supplying descaling water. Movable bracket is joined with outer surface of slab or bloom subjected to descaling. Apparatus has working zone where descaling water acts upon surface of slab or bloom and provides interruption phase when descaling water does not act upon surface of slab or bloom.
