FIELD: production and processing of mineral fiber, more particularly production of composites based on thermosetting and thermoplastic binders. SUBSTANCE: composition comprises water-soluble ethylene oxide- propylene oxide copolymer blocked with toluylene diisocyaate with molecular weight of 10,000-20,000, cation or nonionic type surfactant, organosilane, e.g. amino-, epoxy methacrylsilane or mixtures thereof and adhesive substance, e.g. dicyanodiamideformaldehyde resin. Ratios of components are as follows (wt %): ethylene oxide-propylene oxide copolymer blocked with toluylene diisocyarate with molecular weight of 10,000- 20,000, 2.5-7.0; cation or nonionic type surfactant, 0.01-0.3; organosilane (amino, epoxy, metharylsilane or mixtures thereof), 0.3-1.0; adhesive substance, e.g. dicyanodiamideformaldehyde resin, 0.1-2.0, and the water balance, up to 100. Composition further comprises 0.1- 0.4 wt % epoxydiane resin per 100% of composition for treatment purposes. Composition also comprises gelatin or mixture thereof with methyl cellulose in 2: 1 ratio, 0.2-1.0 wt % per 100 % of composition for treatment purposes. Present invention makes it possible to attain high technological effectiveness in manufacture of glass and basalt fibrous materials and also promotes high thermal stability.
