FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, alkali and water are continuously fed into reactor with stable flow rate. Acetaldehyde flow rate in reactor is maintained automatically at desired short supply or at minimum amount of water, which amount is determined by difference between relative temperature rise in mixer containing acetaldehyde and circulating reaction mixture and relative acetaldehyde flow rate. Present invention makes it possible to maintain amount of formaldehyde close to optimum amount. EFFECT: more efficient control method. 2 dwg
