FIELD: vacuum ultraviolet radiation sources; gas analyzers depending for their operation on photoionization of materials. SUBSTANCE: lamp has sealed bulb made of solid ultraviolet-proof material and filled with mixture of inert gases and/or hydrogen, electrodes mounted inside bulb for generating electric discharge, and window made of ultraviolet-proof material which is mounted on bulb end and hermetically sealed at joint. Window is provided with electrodes for generating protective electric field made in the form of metal layers applied to inner and outer surfaces of lamp window and also with DC voltage supply. Electrode applied to outer surface of window is connected to negative pole and that applied to inner surface, to positive pole of voltage supply.
