SUBSTANCE: method comprises removing contamination from the measuring chamber of the photoionization detector by means of blowing it with the gas to be analyzed that is preliminary caused to flow through the absorber to remove the material to be analyzed and moisture from it. The device comprises measuring chamber of photoionization detector, flow rate exciter, and microprocessor unit for processing the signals from the measuring chamber and control of the detector. The device has absorber of material to be detected and moisture through which the flow of gas to be analyzed is supplied to the measuring chamber.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and simplified design.
