SUBSTANCE: machine has laminated-core stator with multiphase and multipole winding and squirrel-cage cylindrical rotor built up of ferromagnetic members and nonmagnetic gaps. Rotor nonmagnetic gaps are filled with high-temperature superconducting diamagnetic material. Ferromagnetic members and nonmagnetic gaps may be made in the form of alternating layers, solid magnetic core, and high-temperature superconducting solid blocks. Rotor outer surface may mount cylindrical high-temperature superconducting screen. High-temperature diamagnetic superconducting inserts are arranged along radial boundaries of stator slots.
