FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: device has needle and fixing spring manufactured from superelastic titanium nickelide. One needle end is sharp and the other one has bushing which internal diameter corresponds to needle protrusion for making connection with the spring. The method involves exposing lesser and greater fragments of the condylar process at acute and obtuse angle over the preauricular temporal prominence and bringing them together to assume the correct position. The right interrelation of all components of the temporomandibular joint is restored. Then fixing needle is conducted from temporal region over zygomatic process of the temporal bone and both bone fragments without making any additional incisions. The spring presses the needle against the bone fragments of the condylar process and creates compression state on fracture plane. EFFECT: reduced risk of traumatic complications. 2 cl, 8 dwg
