FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is electronic analog of wormwood cigar in sections of electromagnetic spectrum including optical and millimeter ranges in absence of primary radiation polarization plane. Apparatus has radiation source represented by gaseous-discharge lamp positioned coaxially at one end of metal waveguide which has waveguide radiator at its other end. Dielectric insert is arranged in waveguide radiator hollow. End face surface of waveguide is provided with metal plug with insulated holes intended for connection of lamp electrode to power supply source.
