FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave engineering and can be used in making receiving waveguide microwave detectors of millimeter range with high resistance to external factors. Essence of the disclosed solution lies in the fact that in the waveguide detector of millimeter range, containing the main waveguide with the short-circuiter on its end end, detector microwave diode located inside the waveguide perpendicular to the axis of the waveguide, at the input there is an antenna, made in the form of a section of the waveguide channel in the form of a cylindrical cavity, into which a dielectric from sapphire is inserted, main waveguide is also filled with dielectric, detector microwave diode is placed on dielectric substrate inserted into quarter-wave section of wave-guide-short circuiter, output of the detector diode is connected to the consumer through the amplifier, at the same time the entire waveguide detector is inserted into the metal housing. For convenience and manufacturability of the waveguide detector assembly, the main waveguide and microwave diode with a short-circuiter are placed in a metal tube inserted into the housing.
EFFECT: technical result when implementing disclosed solution is creation of millimeter waves detector, resistant to action of mechanical loads and capable of operating on open path.
