FIELD: microelectronics and information-processing technology. SUBSTANCE: gas-discharge tube has gas-discharge chamber accommodating electrodes. The latter are connected to high-voltage pulse-period power supply. One electrode is made in the form of transparent grid. Other electrode is, essentially, sectionalized capacitor. One of capacitor plates is solid and other one is matrix built up of set of electrodes placed on insulating strip parallel to grid. Matrix electrodes and grid form slit-type gas-discharge gap. Solid plate of capacitor is placed under insulating strip and connected to pulse-period power supply; capacitance of second sectionalized electrode is at least ten times higher than that of discharge gap. Gas-discharge tube may be made without output optical window in which case it runs in open-circuit mode. In this case, photoluminescent phosphor layer with protective coating is applied to insulating strip between matrix electrodes. Gas-discharge tube may be provided with hermetically sealed output optical window and filled with gas mixture. EFFECT: improved design. 5 cl, 2 dwg
